About Us

Meet the Middle School Teacher

My name is Vanessa Brooks. I am a certified teacher in Florida.  I have worked as a teacher with Hillsborough County Public School for three years and a private school teacher for two years before that.  I created Foundation Homeschool Academy in order to make a difference in children's lives and bring God back into education.  I have a heart for children and teaching is my God given purpose.  I am certified in Civics and ESOL.  I am very passionate about making a welcoming space for students to learn and my goal is to always make learning fun!  I am a Christian and live with God at the center of my life.  I can't wait to pour into these students, teach them and show them the love of God.

I was born and raised in Florida. I love the water and sunshine. I am married to my high school sweetheart and we are dog parents to our Stormi girl. We are excited to welcome a little one into the world in October 2026.

Thank you for trusting us with your child's education.

Meet the Elementary Teacher

My name is Samira Aldridge. I began my educational journey in Michigan, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Michigan University. Following my graduation, I spent 13 years teaching at the elementary level. Five years ago, my family and I relocated from Michigan to Florida, where I have continued my teaching career. One of the most rewarding aspects of being an educator is the opportunity to assist my students in identifying and developing their strengths and addressing their weaknesses. I am truly enthusiastic about joining Foundation Homeschool Academy and integrating faith into the curriculum.

I was born and raised in Michigan and am married with two lovely daughters. I thoroughly enjoy the benefits of living in the sunny state of Florida. In my leisure time, I enjoy singing at my church, relaxing on the beach, and capturing moments through photography as I create lasting memories of our family adventures.

Meet the Middle School Teacher

My name is Alyssa Carter and I am a licensed teacher in Florida. I have worked as a teacher with Hillsborough County Public Schools for three years and as a preschool teacher for two years. I am also a licensed real estate agent and have been in the business for almost a year.

I love teaching and working with children. I believe every child is so unique and deserves a caring, inspiring and engaging learning environment to grow emotionally, intellectually, socially and also in their faith.

I was born and raised in Tampa, Florida but my family is from Michigan so it's like a second home too me. I am married to my best friend and we have a wonderful daughter names Raelynn. I have grown up knowing that the Lord is the center of my life. My husband and I love to travel with our families and friends. We are big into sports, especially college football #GoBlue!

Meet the Elementary Teacher

Hello, my name is Quinasia Howard. I am a proud Florida native. I am a certified elementary teacher and will be graduating with my masters in education this May. I have been teaching for 10 years, 3rd grade has been my love for the past 3 years.

Teaching is more than a profession for me, it is a calling. I am passionate about seeing the growth and transformation in my students and feel blessed to play a positive role in their lives. I believe that every child is placed in our path for a reason, and I strive to make each moment in the classroom meaningful and impactful.

I am thrilled to join Foundation Homeschool Academy and look forward to partnering with families to support academically and personally.

Outside of the classroom, I am married and a proud mom of two wonderful daughters, as well as a fur mom to an amazing Pomapoo. My family loves to travel, attend sporting events, watch our daughters play sports, and enjoy the beach in this Florida weather.
